Laser hair removal in Montreal

Temporary hair removal methods take too much of your time? You would like to experience a more durable method that removes definitively the hair on parts of your body?
Dr. Nabil Fanous explains cosmetic skin surgery: laser hair removal

Laser hair removal

The light of the laser hair removal machine passes through the skin to the hair follicle, where it is absorbed. Unlike traditional methods of hair removal and electrolysis, laser hair removal may offer an option that causes little pain, and is a fast and generally permanent.

Laser hair removal Facts

Laser hair removal

  • During the treatment, the skin is protected by a refreshing dynamic process.
  • The best results have been achieved on individuals with light skin and dark hair.
  • Most patients experience only a little discomfort on the treated area which can be relieved with an anesthetic cream.
  • The procedure can take as little as 10 to 15 minutes or up to an hour or two, depending on the area treated.
  • The patient should avoid the sun 4 to 6 weeks before and after the treatment.
  • To successfully remove most of the hair in the treated area, about 6 treatments are required.
Recovery

Post-treatment recovery

No recovery time is necessary. The treated area may become pink, red or brown for a couple of hours after the treatment, which is totally normal.
Risks and Inconveniences

Important points for a good post-treatment result

Like any other skin treatment, complications are possible but uncommon, temporary or permanent, such as infection, inflammatory reaction, skin discolouration (hypopigmentation, hyperpigmentation), redness, scarring, poor hair response, etc. By following Dr. Fanous’ instructions, some of these risks may be reduced.
